Even in America the land of the brave and free – people are sometimes persecuted for their religious beliefs. However, it is nothing compared to what others must endure in other parts of the world.
As Christians we are all part of a family. Whether we live in the USA, Africa, Spain or China we are one in Christ Jesus. We have the tie that goes beyond national boundaries.
When one suffers we all suffer, and need to rally alongside.
As we hear about our fellow Christian Pastor Yousesf Nardarkahni, we should not just sit back and complain about the bad Islamics in Iran. We need to pray and pray as we’d pray for our very own father, brother, or son etc. For as Edmund Burke said…”It is necessary only for the good man to do nothing for evil to triumph.”
Let it not be when we meet our brother in heaven (hopefully late than sooner) that we will be ashamed that we never came alongside on his behalf, which is our behalf – remember we are one family. When one hurts we all hurt.
As Islamic religion seeks to make converts in ways we do not approve, and they persecute and punish, and even execute those who convert—we must admire their dedication to Islam even if we disagree with their methods.
It would do well for us Christians to follow their example of zeal and dedication. We have the forgiveness of sin, the freedom, joy, peace, everlasting life, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, all by faith in Christ Jesus. We indeed have it all. And we have been given the commission by Jesus Christ Himself before He left this earth to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
It is in days such as this that we need to bring the light to a decaying and dying world. Let us not hide our light under a bushel but let it shine that all men might see the glory of Christ and want it for themselves.
Meanwhile, let us pray with a passion that our brother Pastor Yousef and his family might have the grace, strength and peace of knowing that God is in control. And may God have Pastor Youself be set free that all the world might see what a good and powerful God we serve. And if God choose to take Pastor Yousef home then the world will see the glory of God in the testimony of man who gave his life for the Gospel following the example of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who have His life that all who believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Have a blessed day.
