Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is,
seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and became fully human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who in unity with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins (upon salvation by faith through grace Eph 2:8-9).
We look for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Prince of Peace Church
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”… and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. [ Matthew 16:16-18 ]
No one can enter the Kingdom of God without the forgiveness of sin.
God out of His love for mankind sent Jesus Christ—His only begotten Son to shed His blood on the cross, and open the door of salvation for all who will believe.
By repentance and by faith in the birth, death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ one becomes born again [as spoken by Jesus in John 3]. They are then spiritually baptized into the family of God. By His Holy Spirit they are regenerated and become a living part of His Body, the Household of Faith, His church.
Whoever is born-again, whatever gender, age, nationality, color, education, political beliefs etc., is our brother/sister in Christ. For in Christ there is no division–we are all one family—one body—one church.
We are then commissioned by God to become an active part of a local church. For it is in church that we corporately praise and worship God, fellowship with believers, and under the teaching of the Word that we come to know Him, and can begin to be transformed into His likeness.
Prince of Peace is a small born-again church. We are conservative in doctrine, but look to be showing forth the fruits, and gifts of the Spirit. We love and preach the rightly divided word. We strive to ever be growing in Him, and to walk in the fullness of His Holy Spirit.
We endeavor to walk in love toward each other, and to reach out to our community and to those who enter our doors.
If you love the Lord, and His rightly divided word, and His people—then you will enjoy being a part of Prince of Peace.
