A children’s classic book. The Little Engine That Could, is a story about a small little train engine who attempted something seemingly impossible. He thought he could – he tried – and therefore – he did!
How much more can we as believers in Christ, with His Holy Spirit in us, accomplish! And it won’t be because we are wonderfully talented or confident, or because we keep on saying it over and over.
No! It’ll be because we know we can’t . However, as we rely on God’s strength and grace in us all things are possible.
If you’re looking way behind at forty or you are looking yet to twenty – there are no age limits to do that which God wants you to do. Just keep walking with Him, looking to Him and His wisdom and power.
No matter what your talents, physical health, your resources – this are all nothing to God. When you are weak in yourself- it is then you are strong in Him.
Throughout the bible there are stories of people like you and me who took what little they had and gave it to God and then they saw great things happen. Look what young shepherd boy named David did with nothing but five smooth stones and faith in God. He was able to slay a man much stronger, and taller, and more battle savy than him.
All because He dared to believe God.
With what ever is before you today or tomorrow that seems insurmountable – give yourself and it to God, and watch what He can do with your offering!
